Last night myself and my wife Tammy and daughter Ashley and both my grandsons had the opportunity to visit Yakima West Valley Lions Cub. (just a quick note, they were the sponsor of my home club Selah Valley Lions)

Yakima West Valley Lions Club is like most Lions Clubs in our area who don't have a large amount of members, but give back huge service to our community.

Some of the projects they are involved with include; Indian John Rest Area Volunteer Coffee (serving coffee and cookies to weary travelers). They have headed up the District F Lions Bowling League helping bowlers who have special needs keep score for many years! Involved with Cub pack 214 and teaching young men how to be men and give back.

If you are hungry, try the Scholarship breakfast fund raiser at Applebee's put on by this Lions Club, they will keep bringing cakes until you are ready to burst.

This club has also been involved planting trees and helping take care of the needs of the West Valley Community Park.

This club has produced three District Governors over the years and have provided much support to our District.

Last but not least, Yakima West Valley Lions would like invite you to their Sept 28,2019

55th Charter Anniversary at the Howard Johnson's in Yakima, 6:30 - 9:00PM. Cost is $23.00 and you can RSVP Bill Shepherd at 509-966-3927 or 509-901-1010
